Addressing the party deputies at a session of the Congress Parliamentary Party in Samvidhan Sadan, Sonia Gandhi also stated that one nation, one in the elections – another undermining of the Constitution, and the party will oppose it.
On Thursday, Chairman of the Parliamentary Party of Congress Sonia Gandhi named the WAQF (amendment) bill as a “brazen attack” on the Constitution, stating that this is part of the BJP strategy to maintain a “permanent polarization”. A few hours after Lok -Sabha passed the WAQF correction bill, Gandhi stated that the bill was “bulldosis” in the lower house.
Addressing the party’s deputies at a meeting of the Parliamentary Party of Congress in Samvidhan Sadan, she also said that one nation, one election bill – another conviction of the Constitution, and the party will oppose it.
“Yesterday the WAKF correction bill was adopted, 2024 was adopted in Lok -Sabh, and today it is planned to come to Raja Sabh. The bill was essentially summoned.
LOK SABHA has adopted the WaQF bill (amendment), which was midnight after a 12-hour discussion. The bill was adopted after all the amendments postponed by the opposition members were rejected by voice voices. It was accepted after the vote unit – 288 in favor and 232 against. Now the bill will be released in Raja Sabhi on Thursday.
The former Congress president also said that their request for the immediate implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill, adopted by both houses, continues to intentionally ignore along with other demand for a third of reservation for women who belong to the planned caste, planned tribes and communities OBC.
“Let it be education, civil rights and freedoms, our federal structure or election, the Modi government pulls the country into the abyss where our constitution will remain on paper, and we know that their intention is even,” she accused.
“We all are vital to continue to fight for what right and fair, expose the failure and intention of the Modi government into the state of observation,” Gandhi said at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by all party deputies, including Congressional President Makardjun Harge and opposition leader in Lok -Sabhh Gandhi.
Gandhi also stated that they repeatedly raised the issue of free and fair elections and the need for parliament to discuss the functioning of the election commission and its “opaque” rules and procedures, some of which are currently challenged in the Supreme Court.
Signing on the Prime Minister, she accused him of rebranding, repairing and marketing numerous initiatives adopted from 2004 to 2014 as her own personal achievements. It should also be subjected to its own public information, she said.
Speaking about the functioning of both houses of parliament, she has accused that opposition leaders are not allowed to talk, and the Treasury is often found that it creates violations to prevent Congress raising its problems.

She also praised the role of Congress leaders who are the chairman of the parliamentary committees to ensure strong leadership. “You used these reports to create a broader consensus to account for the government.
Gandhi, however, stated that their requirements for a number of issues that are of public importance were denied the ruling party. “There were days when the ruling party was hosted by the opposition, when discussions and discussions were held in both houses, and as deputies we were looking forward to them,” she said.
She said they wanted a detailed discussion in Lok -Sabh about the work of the Defense Ministries and External Affairs, because both of these subjects are crucial, given the increasingly violent political atmosphere in our area, but it was forbidden.

The Congress leader called on MPs to strengthen the parliament on the border of RTI, MGNREGA, the Law on Forests and the Law on Land.
