Real Housewives star Teddi Mellencamp has spoken candidly about her health battle in a new interview, with US Weekly reporting that just last week, four more small tumours on her brain had been discovered days after their chat.
“I’m fighting for my life,” the reality star, 43, told the publication.
“But also for my family’s life and all the people I love.”

The star, who is the daughter of singer John Mellencamp, recently had had four tumours removed during brain surgery.
She later told fans after returning home from hospital that scans have showed she has “multiple tumours in her brain” and two in her lungs.
Mellencamp spoke about her ‘mortality’ to the publication and said that she’s been coping with the help of sarcasm.

“One of my coping mechanisms is being sarcastic. I’d rather joke about it and have the best possible outcome than be completely in denial and have my heart broken,” she said.

She revealed that when she was first diagnosed, she was suffering migraines and doctors found “six brain tumours and two lung tumours”.
Following her brain surgery, she shared a statement with fans, vowing to “fight” amid her battle.
“In full transparency, more tumours were removed than expected: 4 in total. This fight is not over, but that round has been won,” she wrote.
Following a scan post-surgery, she added to fans: “Update from my scans today: I have multiple tumours in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have 2 tumours in my lung. These are all metastases of my melanoma.”
“I am feeling positive — that I will win this battle, that I got this wig (I like the short hair, just not the bald spots), and that I can remember all of Angelina’s kids’ names,” she said.
“Now, as @bravoandy would say: with all due… f–k off, cancer!”
