The fictional nation “Refugee” Nitananda Kaylas made headlines after sending representatives to the UN meeting, despite the fact that he had no legal recognition.
Meet the person accused of sexual abuse in India, who now claims to be managing the “boundless” Hindu nation with its currency and constitution
Self-proclaimed Indian Bogman Swami Nityananda is again at the focus of this time to send their representatives to the United Nations in Geneva. Having carried saffron coats and heavy jewelry, the group stated that a country called the United States of Kaylas (USK) is a called Hindu nation, which is not recognized by any real country or an international body.
The bizarre step shocked many, because the “country” is nothing more than a fictional essence created by Nityananda, which is wanted in India on serious accusations, including sexual attack and abuse.
What is Kaylas?
According to Uska’s official site, Kaylas is described as the “largest Hindu nation on Earth.” He claims to be a nation without boundaries created for Hindus, who believe that they cannot freely practice their religion in their countries. The site states that it is working on the protection and distribution of Hindu culture and civilization, which it claims that has been oppressed for centuries.
It is reportedly inspired by the sacred mountain of Kaylash in Tibet, a fictional country located on the island off the Ecuador coast. Kaylas is said to have its own constitution, currency, bank (called the Kaylas Reserve Bank), a passport, a flag and even an economic system. Nitiananda even announced the flights to Kaylas in 2020.
Why Kailas in the UN?
During the UN Economic and Social Rights meeting, a woman named Vija Propananda presented Kaylas’s “permanent ambassador”. She claimed that Kaylas is the first Hindu sovereign nation and that Nityanand is working on the revival of 10,000 Hindu traditions of indigenous people.
She also said that Nityananda is “persecuted” and “forbidden” in India, adding that he was exiled for trying to revive Hindu tradition. She asked the UN what could be done to protect it.
Kaylas – a real country?
No. Kaylas is not recognized by the United Nations and any other government. According to international legislation, in order to name the country, it must have a permanent population, the labor government and the ability to form relations with other countries. Kailas does not work at all these points.
Later, the UN specified that the materials made by the Kaylas team were insignificant and would not be included in official documents.
According to the BBC and EncyClopaedia Britannica, Kairasa is considered a micron, a self -proclaimed essence that acts as a country but has no legal status. There are about 140 such miconations worldwide.
In short, Nityananda’s attempt to get global recognition for his fictional country again caused ridicule and concern, especially if he continues to avoid serious criminal charges against him in India.
