In the next week, Delhi is preparing for a thermal wave, and on April 7 and 8, the Meteorological Division (IMD) predicts fever in India, if it is expected to reach 40 to 42 degrees Celsius. IMD also issued warnings about the thermal wave for several North India states, including Uttar -Pradesh, Rajastan, Hariana and Himachal -Pradesh, next week.
On Friday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius, which is 4.4 degrees above normal, and the minimum was 18.8 degrees Celsius, the MET department reports.
While Delhi today recorded a minimum temperature of 19.5 degrees Celsius on Saturday, which is 0.7 cut above the seasonal average. Relative humidity at 8.30 in the morning was 47%.

That’s what to expect in the next 6 days, that is, from April 5 to April 10
On April 5, the maximum temperature is expected to be from 38 to 40 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperatures can remain from 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. On April 6, the heat can be slightly intensified, a maximum of 39 to 41 degrees Celsius and a minimum between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius.
The temperature is expected to increase further on April 7, reaching a maximum of 40 to 42 degrees Celsius and at least 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. The same temperature picture is likely to last April 8, a maximum of 40 and 42 degrees Celsius and a minimum is 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.
While the heat wave is expected to be stored throughout the period, during this time there may not be a warm night condition. On April 9 and 10, the maximum temperature is probably settled from 39 to 41 degrees Celsius.
The heat wave in other states
The conditions of the thermal wave are likely to be stored in the isolated pockets of Sauroshtri and Katch, South Hariana, Delhi and Western Uttar -from April 5 to April 9. Himachal -Pradesh can experience similar conditions from April 5 to April 7.
The conditions of thermal wave are also expected in Punjab and Gujarat in the region from April 6 to April 9, Western Rajastan from April 5 to April 10 in the east of Rajastan from April 6 and Western Madzha -Pradesh from April 7 to 10.
In addition, hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Gujarat from April 5 to April 10, as well as Konkan & Goa from April 5 to April 9, 2025.
The weather department predicted above normal temperatures across India for April to June, as well as an increase in the number of days of thermal wave, especially in central and eastern regions and in the northwest. In these three months, India has been experiencing about four heat days.
