Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s 22-year-old son, Aarav Bhatia, has stayed away from the limelight for most of his life. However, his recent appearance at actress, Huma Qureshi’s Eid celebration has taken social media by storm, especially after he was seen with a mystery girl, and fans noticed striking similarities between him and his legendary grandfather, Rajesh Khanna. After his rare appearance, Aarav has been unexpectedly pushed into the public eye.
Aarav’s rare public appearance that has everyone talking
Recently, Aarav Bhatia made heads turn with a rare appearance in Huma Qureshi’s Eid party, looking every bit the dapper young gentleman, dressed in a simple black bandhgala kurta and white pyjama. Netizens were thrilled to catch a glimpse of the star kid, and social media was soon flooded with users praising his poise, smile, and also the surprising resemblance with his legendary grandfather, Rajesh Khanna.
Users were also taken by the unique way that Aarav sported a gajra tied around his wrist and attended the party with a mystery girl, who turned out to be his cousin, Simar Bhatia.
Why is Aarav not seen in public?
While most celebrity children are seen following in their parents’ footsteps into the film industry, Aarav has opted for a different path for himself. Coming from a family with such a prestigious background in the industry, Aarav has never shown much interest in acting. From a young age, Akshay Kumar’s son has displayed a strong inclination towards Sports, especially martial arts. He reportedly started training in martial arts at the age of 4 and has trained in various disciplines.
However, Aarav’s true interest and passion lie in fashion design, a career that he is steadily walking towards. His father, Akshay Kumar, has mentioned in several interviews that his son has zero interest and is rather focused on establishing a successful career in fashion. Earlier, in an interview with Shikhar Dhawan on his talk show, Akshay Kumar was quoted as saying:
“I am happy the way Twinkle and I have brought up Aarav; he is a very simple boy. My daughter, on the other hand, likes clothes… We never forced him to do anything; he is interested in fashion; he doesn’t want to be a part of cinema. He came to me and said that ‘I don’t want to do films.’ I said, ‘This is your life, do what you want to do’.”
Aarav’s educational qualification
Aarav moved away from India at a fairly young age. According to Akshay Kumar, Aarav left his home when he was only 15 years old and moved overseas for higher studies. He continues to live an independent life away from the glare of the media. He is currently pursuing a course in fashion designing and has no intention to make his way to Bollywood.
Regardless, Akshay and Twinkle are extremely proud of the independent individual that Aarav has grown to be. In Shikhar Dhawan’s show, Akshay Kumar said:
“My son Aarav is studying at the university in London. He left home at the age of 15. He was always fond of studying and wanted to stay alone. It was his decision to move, even though I didn’t want him to go. However, I could not stop him because I left my home at the age of 14… He does his own laundry, he is a good cook, does the utensils and doesn’t even want to buy expensive clothes. In fact, he goes to a second-hand store, Thrifty, to buy clothes because he doesn’t believe in wastage.”

From the rare appearances of Aarav in front of the paps, it seems that Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar have done an exceptional job in raising their son with humility and independence with grounded values, despite coming from one of the most influential families in the industry. Twinkle Khanna, in various interviews, has also expressed how proud she is of her son’s grounded personality and clarity of vision.
Well, while a Bollywood debut may not be on the cards for Aarav Bhatia anytime soon, his rare public outings continue to make waves. With a striking resemblance to Rajesh Khanna and a humble, disciplined persona, Aarav is gracefully forging his own path. Despite shunning the spotlight, the young gentleman is becoming a star in his own right!
