R&B singer Nivea had a tearful moment on stage during a recent stop on the Millennium Tour.

While performing her hit ballad “Complicated,” the singer became visibly emotional, struggling to get through the lyrics that seemed to overwhelm her. The crowd expressed support for Nivea, as she wiped away tears and pushed through the performance.
Many in the audience later took to social media, with clips of the moment quickly going viral. Viewers praised her for her strength, though many expressed concern for the 43-year-old. Throughout the years, Nivea has been vocal about her struggles with substance abuse and a stroke she suffered after giving birth to one of her kids. However, her career has recently had a resurgence on reality television shows such as “Queens Court,” “Eat Slay Love,” and “The Empire.”
Nivea spoke out about her brief breakdown, revealing that she was overcome by the support of her children and loved ones.
“Oh my Lamb…I’m truly speechless! I can’t believe I got so emotional on stage tonight, but it was the first time all 4 of my kids got to see their momma do her thing! I was just overcome with joy and proudness!!! My family, cousins and nieces were there and I felt all the love & energy from my hometown,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing an image of her crying and embracing her kids.
