Over the past few months, several similar incidents of people collapsing on the stage while being active made it to the headlines. It also happened that some even suffered heart attacks while sleeping, and in a word, there’s nothing horrible other than that. A few days ago, a similar incident happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly as a husband fell on the stage and died while dancing with his wife at their 25th wedding anniversary. A similar incident took place recently as a 20-year-old student lost her life while delivering a speech at her college event.
A 20-year-old student collapses on the stage and dies while delivering a speech
As per the reports, the 20-year-old student, whose name is Varsha Kharat was seen delivering a speech at her college event. Reportedly, Varsha was a final year BSc student at RG Shinde College. The incident reportedly took place at RG Shinde College in Maharashtra’s Dharashiv district. In the viral video, she could be seen on the stage, while being decked up in a saree. She was seen giggling and interacting with her peers. Well, after a while, she felt a bit of discomfort, which was also visible in the video. Although, she continued with her speech, after a few seconds, she collapsed on the stage.
Varsha Kharat had gone through a heart bypass surgery seven years before
As per the reports, soon after Varsha Kharat fell on the stage, her classmates rushed to the stage and took her to a nearby government hospital in Paranda, where doctors declared her to be dead. College authorities have revealed that Varsha was a bright student, and she had big dreams for herself and her family members. Varsha came from a decent background, and her parents are farmers, and she also has a brother and sister. Talking about the incident, a faculty member from the college said that after Varsha collapsed on the stage, she was rushed to the hospital but doctors declared her dead. The faculty member could be quoted as saying:
“As soon as Varsha collapsed, we took her to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. A pall of gloom the farewell party.”
As per a report by The Times Of India, Varsha Kharat’s uncle shared that she had a prolonged heart-related issue and she had gone through a bypass surgery seven years ago. While the actual reason for her demise is still not disclosed, it’s being wondered that it happened due to a heart-related issue. Varsha Kharat’s uncle also told TOI that Varsha had been on medication since the time she had the bypass surgery, but on the day the incident took place, she was rushing for college and forgot to take her medicine. Varsha was reportedly giving her farewell speech while being on the stage, and she also cracked a joke that made everyone laugh, just a few moments before she collapsed on the stage and died.
