Weddings are not only the bond of two humans and two souls, rather it’s a blend of two hearts, two traditions, and two families. A girl dreams to marry the man of her dreams from a very young age. From what dresses she would wear to the venue, the decor, and the food, girls tend to keep dreaming about all these since the time she’s 6, and when the big day comes, it’s all about the execution. Our bride of the week, Tanika D’Souza’s wedding look, was something that amalgamated Indian-ness along with Christianity, and oh boy, although she was a minimal bride, the elegance was simply top-notch.
Sabyasachi bride, Tanika D’Souza stunned in an ivory-toned saree for her Indo-Scottish wedding
Tanika D’Souza got married to her longtime Scottish beau, Jamie Errington, in Tuscany. The couple’s love story is straight out of a movie, for sure. Well, their wedding looks were too straight from the Vintage camera rolls. For her wedding, Tanika D’Souza slipped into an ivory-toned saree from none other than Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Tanika is a South Indian from Mangalore who, over the years, resided in several parts of the world, be it Dubai, New York, or Luxembourg. Coming back to her wedding look, Tanika’s ivory bridal saree was sheen and had hand-embroidery naksi work, but very limited that kept up with the sheen base of the saree.
The border of the saree was its main highlight, which was made with cut-dana work and hand embroidery. She teamed her saree with a full-sleeved blouse. The sleeves had hand-glove effects and had self-work made in the form of flowers and leafy patterns. She finalised her look with a sheen veil, made with reference to the saree with the borders and sheen effect aligned. The sheer white saree had a fishtail-cut style detailing at the lower portion that accentuated her figure. In a word, Tanika looked like a princess for her big day.
For her makeup, Tanika D’Souza opted for a nude base and finalised her look with soft-smokey eyes, lip gloss, and blush, giving her a matte finish look. She kept her hair tied in a bun with two curls loosely hanging on her face. For accessories, Tanika wore a pair of diamond pearl earrings and her engagement ring, and oh boy, she made the most beautiful Indo-Scottish bride.

Tanika D’Souza’s Scottish groom, Jamie complemented her in traditional Scottish attire for their wedding
Talking about the Scottish groom, Jamie Errington, he opted for a traditional Scottish ensemble for his wedding. He looked handsome in a kilt from Stewart Christie & Co Ltd, along with a jacket and waistcoat by MacGregor & MacDuf. He also wore a fly plaid, which is worn by the traditional Scottish grooms on their wedding days, over their shoulders. While Tanika carried her grandmother’s rosary and a small posy of white florals, Jamie also wore his paternal grandfather’s watch to add a deep familial touch to his look.
We are in awe of Tanika D’Souza’s Sabyasachi saree for her wedding, as it screams elegance from every yard. What about you?
