The internet is buzzing over reports that Keke Palmer quietly pulled the plug on her Jonathan Majors interview.
Days ago, the vibrant talk show host shared details about what may have been one of her most talked-about interviews to date with the actor. In the description, Palmer wrote, “Finding forgiveness feels harder than ever, and we’re still figuring out what true accountability even looks like. Today, we’re sitting down with Jonathan Majors to talk about what life has looked like after being convicted of harassment and assault.”
The episode was teased with a Tuesday, April 8th release date. However, when the day arrived, the show was nowhere to be found. Instead, Palmer dropped her sitdown with Kash Doll, where they dished on love, motherhood, and more. While this chat was appreciated by fans of both women, many questioned what happened to Palmer’s episode with the “Magazine Dreams” star.
After it was initially confirmed that Majors would be Palmer’s next guest, intense online backlash followed. Many questioned why the actress would choose to platform Majors, given the multiple accusations of abuse against him. This was especially highlighted considering Palmer has previously claimed to be a victim of domestic violence herself.
Some also accused Majors of using Black women to restore his public image, pointing to his appearance on The Sherri Shepherd Show and his highly publicized surprise marriage to Meagan Good. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen. However, it appears Palmer took notice of the public outcry.
Neither Palmer nor Majors have spoken publicly about the interview.
