Bigg Boss is one of the most talked about reality shows in India. Despite creating controversies for its contestant choices and their statements, the show always ends with a massive viewership. While fans await the next season of Bigg Boss, Kunal Kamra has revealed his views on being a part of it.
Kunal Kamra claimed he was approached by Bigg Boss
Comedian, Kunal Kamra has been grabbing the headlines for his controversial take on the Maharashtra government. However, now it seems the incident made him appear in the eyes of Bigg Boss casting managers as well. The comedian took to his Instagram handle and claimed that he was approached by the Bigg Boss casting manager to participate in the upcoming season. He shared the screengrab of his conversation with a casting director, who offered him to be part of the show.
The comedian, Kunal Kamra, shared the screenshot on his Instagram stories. Kunal was talking to a person who claimed to be casting for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss. The message shared that they were handling the casting for the season, and they think that Kunal would make an interesting choice for the show. They added that while they understood that it might not have been on his radar, the platform would make an amazing opportunity. The text from the casting director read:
“I am handling the casting for this season of Bigg Boss, and your name came up as someone they might find interesting. I know it might not have been on your radar, but honestly, it’s such a mad platform to show your real vibe and win over a massive audience. What do you think? Should we talk about it?”
Kunal Kamra rejected the offer
Being a part of the reality show, Bigg Boss can lean either way. While some gain unmatched fandom during their stint on the show, others get cancelled for their behaviour. At times the image one creates can turn out to be too permanent for contestants to commit to the show. While Kunal was not clear about his reasons for not being a part of Bigg Boss, he certainly made sure his dismay about being a part was evident. He responded by stating that he would rather check himself into a mental hospital than participate in the show. Additionally, it is also unclear whether Kunal was approached for the next season of Bigg Boss OTT or Bigg Boss 19. He was quoted as saying:
“I would much rather check into a mental hospital…”
