Shariful Islam claims the case against him is ‘false’ in new bail place
A few days ago, Shariful Islam’s lawyer filed a new bail plea from his side in the Mumbai Sessions Court. They mentioned that he has been cooperating with the authorities in the investigation despite their earlier claims about his non-cooperation. His lawyer also mentioned that he won’t tamper with any evidence in the case. So, he should not be in continued detention without any punishment that was opposed by the police. But, he called the case against him to be untrue, and his plea said:
“The FIR is patently false, and a false case has been registered against him. The applicant has cooperated with the investigation. Therefore, no useful purpose will be served by detaining him further in custody, save and except pre-trial punishment.”
