However, amid the preparation, a report surfaced on the internet suggesting that Bollywood’s superstar will be collaborating with the biggest designer of our generation for the gala. According to reports that started making rounds on April 10, 2025, there are speculations that the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, will be collaborating with the fashion genius, Sabyasabhi Mukherjee, for the global show.
Diet Sabya took to their Instagram handle on the afternoon of April 10, 2025, and shared a cryptic post hinting that two titans will come together for the fashion gala, which is to be held on May 5, 2025. While they didn’t take any names, they captioned the post, “#METGala is gonna be exciting. Discuss babyyyyy.” The note image posted along with the caption hinted that the collaboration will make history. The post read:
“STOP THE PRESSES!!! The impossible just happened! Two titans of their craft – the greatest Bollywood superstar – and the biggest designer of our generation awn are joining forces for their MET gala 2025 debut. And let’s be real, this is HUGE. Monumental baby!! We’re talking HISTORY in the making! This Bollywood icon is about to become the first Indian man to strut his “dandy” on the MET carpet. Let the guessing games begin!”

Since the note was posted online, it has left netizens in a frenzy about who the secret superstar is. While some are guessing that it’s Shah Rukh Khan, others are positive that the post refers to Ranveer Singh. A user penned, “I am secretly hoping it’s Ranveer. He is magic.” Another stated, “SRK x Sabya or I don’t want it.” A comment read, “So it’s obviously the King of the Movies- SRK, with the King Of Fashion- Sabya!” A user questioned, “But Sabya has already done his debut with Alia na?”

While there has been no confirmation about who will set the MET carpet on fire with their stellar looks, we can be sure that it will most definitely be an event to look out for. For the unversed, MET is an invite-only event, which is sent by none other than the editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, who has chaired or co-chaired the MET Gala since 1995, except for the 1996 MET Gala. However, an invite doesn’t mean a confirmed seat. One has to pay 75,000 USD as an entry fee, and if one wants a place at the 10-seater table, they have to pay 350,000 USD.
