Indian railways take significant successes in their vision of speed trips with the Varanasi-Herre Bullet project. This corridor is aimed at ensuring the ultra fast connection between Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Havr in Western Bengal, forming an important part of the expanded India railway network.
The proposed 760-kilometer route will pass through large cities such as Baxar, Ara, Patna, Guy, Dhanbad, Asana, Durgapur and Burvan, which overcome the distance in just two hours. According to the details of the project, the route will include approximately 260 km of the sublime tracks in Bihar.
The project is currently in the detailed project report (DPR), and surveys are conducted to complete the Earth’s requirements and determine the exact route. Upon completion of the high-speed railway corridor, Varanasi-Khura will significantly reduce travel time, enhancing the link between these key cities.
The reports suggest that the bullet train will reach a maximum speed of 350 km/h, with the length of travel varies from just over two hours to four hours, according to different forecasts. The planned stations along the sublime route include Buxar, Patna, Gaia, Asansol, Dhanbad, Durgapur and Howrah, and Ara and Navada are considered additional stops.
While the Indian Railway has not yet announced the official launch date, the route is expected to start working until mid -2017. The work in Bihara was reportedly completed and the land is being purchased, before the Indian Railway’s final approval before construction.
