Ed Sheeran has made some rare interview comments about wife Cherry Seaborn, who he married in 2019.
Speaking to Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the British pop superstar, 34, admitted that his wife helps keep him humble despite his fame.
”Honestly, Cherry is the biggest grounding force,” Sheeran sweetly said, with the pair keeping their relationship mostly underwraps over the years.

“Like, anytime that anything is a little bit too Hollywood, she’s like, ‘Bro…'” he added.
“And especially because I grew up with her, there’s always a lens of Suffolk over it, of just like, come on man.”
He said that he once wanted to add a very lavish addition to their home, but Seaborn told him it was over the top.

“Like, I tried to build a bowling alley in our in our backyard, and she was just like, ‘Come on, man. You don’t need that,'” he said.
“She just doesn’t want our kids growing up and it being like, you know, the Richie Rich house.”
He said he doesn’t live in Los Angeles – like a lot of celebrities – as he’d “always just be [in a] popstar [mindset]”.

“It’s important to be able to go home and be like a regular human being,” he said, with the pair sharing a sprawling family home in Suffolk.

The Shivers hitmaker previously revealed in a diary entry, shared in March 2023 with fans, that his wife had been diagnosed with a tumour and his best friend Jamal Edwards had “died suddenly”.
Edwards died in 2022.
“Then at the start of 2022, a series of events changed my life, my mental health, and ultimately the way I viewed music and art,” Sheeran wrote in the post, shared on Instagram.
“Within the space of a month, my pregnant wife got told she had a tumour, with no route to treatment until after the birth. My best friend Jamal, a brother to me, died suddenly…” he wrote in part.
“I was spiralling through fear, depression and anxiety.”
