Contestants saw many celebrities making an appearance on the show to offer their support, and for Gaurav, it was none other than his best friend, Hussain Kuwajerwala, who showed up.
Hussain Kuwajerwala’s arrival on the show proved to be a laughter feast. It gave the fans a candid insight into their bond and boosted Gaurav for his upcoming finale. However, that is not all; he also spilt some beans, including how he never imagined that Gaurav could be such a great cook and dropped a hint about the actor’s upcoming venture.
During a conversation on the show, Hussain lightheartedly mentioned that Gaurav was opening his own restaurant in Kanpur. He added that the restaurant will be named ‘Khaana by Khanna’. This came right after Hussain mentioned that Gaurav’s parents had been busy with the preparation while his wife, Akasnsha Chamola, had been occupied with the interiors. Hussain further laughed, saying that it was because of that he decided to come and support Gaurav instead.

Nonetheless, Gaurav’s fans have their fingers crossed and are manifesting ‘Khaana by Khanna’ turns out to be real. On the other hand, Gaurav had another successful day on the show. He received immense praise from chef Sanjeev Kapoor. The latter even admitted that if there were one contestant who could take a professional route after the completion of Celebrity Masterchef, it would be Gaurav Khanna.
About Gaurav Khanna and Hussain Kuwajerwala’s friendship
Gaurav Khanna and Hussain Kuwajerwala have been friends for a long time. They met on the sets of Kumkum: Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan in 2002. The series starred Hussain and Juhi Parmar as the leads, and it was one of the most popular shows of its time. While Gaurav’s stint in the show was short, it gave him his best friend, with whom he has been going strong ever since. Hussain and Gaurav’s banter added entertainment to the tense finale episode. During the conversation, they also revealed that Gaurav played the role of Hussain’s son in the TV serial and laughed hard. Gaurav shared that when he moved to Mumbai, he stayed with Hussain Kuwajerwala. He credited his best friend for whatever he had learnt, showing how close of a bond they shared.
