During a recent outing in Mumbai, Malaika Arora was spotted wearing a trendy crop top. She paired the sleeveless cocoa-brown crop top with matching high-waisted joggers. She completed her look with a sleek bun, oversized sunglasses and a brown shade tote bag. The actress was snapped by paparazzi, flaunting her stretch marks.
Malaika received overwhelming reactions from netizens
When Malaika, with her no-glam look, appeared on Mumbai streets, the video went viral. She was walking confidently and waving her hand, addressing the paps. In no time, netizens started showering love through their comments. One user commented, ‘Love her confidence’. Another wrote, ‘Stretch marks are normal’, and the third one commented, ‘You don’t need a star to make that normal. Every person and body is unique, and everything about our body is normal.’
Malaika once reacted to getting trolled for her stretch marks
In a past interview with Pinkvilla, Malaika opened up about people having insecurities in life, and she, too, has her own set. So, when she was asked how she reacted to the trolling for her stretch marks, she said that she was fine with that. Addressing the same, she remarked:
“If I am trolled because I have stretch marks so be it. People have far deeper insecurities in life. I have my own share.”
Malaika’s biggest style inspiration is her mother
In a recent shoot with HT City Showstoppers, when she was asked about her biggest style inspiration, she said that as the matter is very subjective so, it can come from anywhere. Then she remarked that her personal favourite is her mother. She is her biggest style inspiration. Recalling how she grew up watching her mother’s style, she said:
“Style inspiration is very subjective. It can come from anything—films, musicians, TV shows, or even personal experiences. For me, I was inspired by my mother, who wore saris beautifully and always had a certain elegance about her. I grew up watching her style, and it influenced my love for classic, elegant looks. But my inspiration also comes from many different places, like social media, current trends, and pop culture. I think inspiration is everywhere, and you can pick up elements that resonate with you.”
Malaika Arora said ‘Fashion is experimental’
In the same shoot with HT City Showstoppers, Malaika remarked that fashion is experimental and sometimes it is fun for her to step out of her comfort zone. She shared that trying new things is important as it helps to evolve. Addressing the same, she said:
“Sometimes, stepping out of the comfort zone is fun — it adds variety. Fashion is experimental; it’s about pushing the envelope and having fun with it. Sometimes I try new things because I think it’s important to evolve and not get complacent with a formula. There’s a joy in stepping away from what you always wear and trying something different.”
Malaika believes that confidence has an important role to play when it comes to fashion

She believes, be it a saree, a pair of jeans, gym wear or any casual outfit, if worn confidently, can create wonders. She said that carrying an outfit with confidence can shape the perception of people towards her, and thus, she thinks confidence is empowering.
