Currently, Namo Bharat trains take place between the new Ashora Nagar and the Southern Merut, covering 55 kilometers and 11 stations.
A big step towards improving travel in the Delhi-NCR region, overhead equipment (OH) between the new Ashoka stations, and Sarah Kyl Khan was successfully electrified in 25 kilowathers (KV). This means that the train operations on this section of the Delhi Gasiabad-Meerut’s corridor will probably start soon. On April 10, the National Capital Transport Region (NCRTC) shared update on X. Ohe – a system of overhead wires that provides electricity for trains, ensuring that they work smoothly and effectively. With recent development, four kilometer stretch marks are now ready for trial.
The power for this section comes from the Sarai -Khan Sarah. It receives 66 kV electricity, which is then converted to 25 kV for trains and 33 kV for running stations. For this project NCTC collaborates with Delhi Transco Limited and Gas Turbin Power Plant (GTPS). Currently, the authorities are shipped from the Gasiabad substation.
According to NCRTC, “the delivery of high voltage by 25 kV reaches OH through a network of pillars and consoles. These wires are designed to support high -speed Namo Bharat trains that can run at a speed of up to 180 km/h.”

To facilitate the journey, NCTC also introduced the travel plan feature in the Namo Bharat application. This new tool helps passengers plan your full journey, choose the best routes and full orders and payments – all in one place.
