The Central Government declared a national holiday on April 14. The day is observed in many states, especially in Maharashtra, Tamil Nada, Uttar Pradesh, Telangan and Madzha -Pradesh, where Dr. Ambdakar’s contribution is honored through state programs and meetings.
According to the calendar of the Holiday Bank of the Indian Reserve Bank, banks will remain closed in most parts of the country. These include states such as Bihar, Jarkhand, Andhra -Pradesh, Western Bengal, Gujarat, Karnataka, Odysha, Asam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajastan, Goa, Uttarakhand and several others. However, banking will continue in several states, including Madhaya Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Megala, Himachol -Pradesh and Nagland. Even in areas where physical industries are closed, digital banking online, mobile applications, upi and WhatsApp will remain available.
Indian stock markets, including NSE and BSE, will remain closed on April 14. This will reduce the week of trade to three sessions. The multi -thawa exchange will also remain closed at the morning session, but will open again for the evening trade from 5pm to 9.30pm.
All public and private educational institutions will be closed throughout the day. However, the necessary services such as hospitals, medical shops, household shops and public transport will work normally. Academy departments in some hospitals may not work, so it is recommended that the public be confirmed in advance.
Ambedkar Jayanti, also known as an equality day, is more than a holiday. It serves as a reminder of Dr. Ambdakar’s tireless work in relation to the creation of a fair and inclusive society. From drawing up the constitution to the struggle for the rights of marginalized communities, its heritage continues to form the democratic values of India.
