Katy Perry has reflected on her upcoming – and historic – trip to space on Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket, which will take off on Monday in the US.
The singer, 40, who is engaged to actor Orlando Bloom, is set to take off on the all-female space flight with the likes of Lauren Sanchez, TV star Gayle King and civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen.
Perry said in a new video after a day of “space training” that she recently saw two positive signs ahead of the flight.

She said she saw an outline of a feather on the space capsule and the name of it is ”tortoise”.
These two points are important to Perry, as her mother has called her ‘feather’ and ‘tortoise’ all her life.
“T-minus one day before I get to go to space. I think if you know me, you know that I’m always looking for little confirmations from the heavens, my guides, angels, higher-self…” the Woman’s World singer began her video.

“On the capsule, on the very front of it, is the outline and shape of a feather and when I saw that it was a total confirmation, as my mum has always called me feather,” she said.
“We’re in space training today … they show us the capsule … they reveal the capsule name and its name is tortoise.
“A wave, just the most energetic wave shot through my body. I was like, ‘What?’
“My mum calls me two nickmames, feather and tortoise. What are the chances?”

“There are no coincidences and I’m so grateful for these confirmations… something bigger than me is steering the ship,” she finished.
The trip to space is set to take place on Monday in the US.
It will be a 11-minute spaceflight from Texas to the edge of space and back.

On Sunday, Perry shared a picture of herself and her crew in space suits as she marked the International Day of Human Space Flight.
“International Day of Human Space Flight 🚀 Forever in awe of the Universe and it’s alignment ✨,” she wrote.
Once she’s back on earth, and returned from the trip, Perry will embark on a global tour.
Her first show will be on April 23 in Mexico City and she will play dates in Australia, the US and Europe as part of her Lifetimes Tour.
