Sir Rod Stewart has no plans to slow down any time soon.
The Da Ya Think I’m Sexy? hitmaker, 80, has shared a defiant message to the joy of fans saying he won’t be retiring – ever.
The British crooner, one of the most iconic musicians of all time, shared a picture of himself performing on stage in a signature leopard print jacket and wrote, “I shall never retire!”

“I was put on this earth to be a singer and will keep doing so for as long as the good lord lets me. 🎤✨,” he wrote to his 1.5million Instagram followers this week.
“We are all happy about that!” one follower remarked underneath.
Another added: “My favourite! Forever young.”

Stewart recently told The Sun about his future, saying: “I’m aware my days are numbered but I’ve got no fear.”
”I am going to be enjoying myself for these last few years as much as I can.
“I saw few – probably another 15. I can do that easy mate, easy.”
When he marked his 80th birthday in January, Stewart said he was “80 years young! 🥂”

“What an incredible journey it’s been – from unforgettable moments on and off the stage to earning some truly special honors along the way,” he said.
“But above all, my greatest joy has always been performing for you. Cheers to the memories we’ve made and the ones still to come!”

The iconic singer will soon be hitting the stage for a performance at Glastonbury music festival this year, which will take place in June.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing @glastofest 2025!” he wrote in an announcement post.
“After all these years, I’m proud and ready and more than able to take the stage again to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. I’ll see you there!”
He recently extended his 2024 Las Vegas residency shows with more dates for this year.
“What a ride it’s been,” he said as he celebrated his milestone 200th show.
