On Sunday night, March 30, 2025, the peacocks and peahens in Hyderabad were growling out of agony; and other wildlife felt homeless. Hear it yourself. This was because the earth movers were mowing down the trees of Kanche Gachibowli’s forested land, in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Since last weekend, students of the University of Hyderabad (UoH), have been staging heavy protests to stop the razing in 400 acres of forested land.
