Nunes, while serving as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, was a staunch supporter of Trump and frequently and vocally questioned allegations about Trump’s alleged ties to the Kremlin. Not surprisingly, Patel echoed those sentiments after leaving Nunes’ office.
He has said that although his family wanted him to study medicine, he decided to pursue a career in law. His undergraduate degree was in History and Criminal Justice from the University of Richmond in Virginia.
He later received a law degree from Pace University in New York. After receiving his law degree, he worked as a public defender in Florida before being hired by the United States Department of Justice. At the Justice Department, he worked as a junior staffer on some terrorism cases. From there he went to work for Congressman Nunes.
Even before Nunes left office, Patel joined the Trump administration in 2019, serving on the National Security Council (NSC). Subsequently, in November 2020, Trump removed his Defense Secretary Mark Esper and replaced him with Christopher Miller, with Patel made the latter’s Chief of Staff.
As Trump plans a political comeback, Patel finds a number of ways to promote the former president. One of them included writing a trilogy of children’s books, titled conspiracy against the kingA thinly veiled, conspiracy-filled account of a plot against Trump and his triumphant return to office after defeating his political enemies.
