Since the second inauguration of Trump, European leaders have presented a united front, which has been inspired by facing a world where American military support cannot be guaranteed.
European Union leaders first made a way of cooperation with Russia with limited success. Following the Annexation of Russia in 2014, France and Germany helped to mediate Minsk agreements. These agreements signed in 2014 and 2015 were designed to prevent further events by Russian -backed groups in the Ukrainian sovereign region.
It did not prevent Russia’s full -scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
In an emerging new world system, the leadership may need to go beyond the contradiction to focus on military power or cooperation. Leaders may need to integrate both.
