It also sought to “discourage sports promotion (including commentators) who directly or indirectly confirm the product directly or indirectly with alcohol or tobacco.”
Highlighting that cricket players are considered as role models, the letter added that IPL is “the country’s largest sports platform for social and support for public health initiatives.”
