Michelle Keegan is a mum!
The 37-year-old British actress – who rose to fame with her role as Tina McIntyre in soap Coronation Street and now plays Kate Thorne in Stan’s Ten Pound Poms – has welcomed her first child with husband Mark Wright.
Keegan and Wright, 38, announced the news in the early hours of this morning in a joint Instagram post, writing alongside a black-and-white photo of their newborn: “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl 🤍”.

The couple also revealed their daughter’s name – Palma Elizabeth Wright – and that she was born on March 6, 2025.
Palma is the capital city of Spanish island Mallorca, which is where the couple announced their pregnancy to fans in a glamorous December photoshoot.
It’s understood they view it as a second home, and that Keegan has Spanish links on her mother’s side.

Elizabeth, meanwhile, is the first name of Keegan’s great-grandmother, who in a 2018 episode of BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? was revealed to have been part of the Suffragette movement.
“I was speaking to my great aunty Paula, who was telling me about her grandma Elizabeth [Kirwan], and she was telling me about how she was the matriarch of the street and of the community,” Keegan told the show’s historian.
“She used to take people in and everyone saw her as this strong leader of the community.”

In the episode, Keegan learned Kirwan’s birth had been registered by Suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst.
Keegan and Wright met in Dubai in 2012, with Wright – a former professional footballer known for his appearance on reality show The Only Way Is Essex – proposing one year later in 2013.
In 2015, Keegan and Wright tied the knot in a lavish ceremony.

Before announcing their pregnancy in December, Keegan had previously spoken out about invasive comments she’d received about her family planning.
“It’s horrible. People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s happening,” she told the Mirror.
“In this day and age, you shouldn’t be asking questions like that.”
