Congrats are in order for Normani and Pittsburgh Steelers star DK Metcalf.

On Wednesday, Metcalf proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Normani, the singer known for her time in the girl group Fifth Harmony. Just a day later, he was officially introduced as a Steeler and shared the exciting engagement news during the introduction press conference.
Metcalf revealed that he initially planned to propose last year, but Normani’s packed schedule led him to postpone. Instead, he waited for the perfect moment, popping the question in Houston surrounded by both of their families. Leading up to the proposal, he sent her flowers with notes, culminating in the final one that read, “Will you marry me?”
Normani celebrated Metcalf’s big week by accompanying him to the Steelers facility, proudly donning his new black-and-gold jersey with the No. 4. When reporters asked about the engagement, Metcalf playfully encouraged her, saying, “Hold that rock up, baby.”
Former Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara initially set up the couple back in 2020. Metcalf, who was teammates with Wilson in Seattle at the time, confirmed he spoke with Wilson about the engagement.
