Ibrahim Ali Khan is the son of popular actors, Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. He has been in the limelight for a long time, and his debut with Dharma Production’s Nadaaniyan made no less noise. Karan Johar shared a special post to introduce the young actor to the world and stuck by him through the promotion journey. But, despite pulling all the strings, the young actor failed to impress the audience with his debut film. Although the actor has maintained his silence over the reviews, a Pakistani critic has alleged that he threatened him after he criticised Nadaaniyan and made a ‘nose job’ comment on Ibrahim.
Did Ibrahim Ali Khan threaten a Pakistani film critic?
Ibrahim Ali Khan has fallen into a major controversy after a Pakistani film critic, Tamur, shared a screenshot of his chat with Ibrahim Ali Khan. He alleged that the 24-year-old actor replied to the review through Instagram’s direct message option. In the screenshot, Ibrahim’s account reportedly highlighted that the critic had the same name as his brother and slammed him for his reviews. The young actor reportedly penned:
“Tamur almost like Taimoor… you got my brother’s name. Guess what you don’t get? His face. You ugly piece of trash. Since you can’t keep your words to yourself, don’t bother; they’re irrelevant, just like you. Ugly goddamn piece of s**t, I feel bad for you and your family – and if I see you on the streets one day, I’ll make sure I leave you uglier than you are.”
In his reply, Tamur mentioned that he wanted to see a raw and authentic Ibrahim in Nadaaniyan just the way, he replied to him, unlike the soft and fake guy he plays in the movie. However, he admitted that he shouldn’t have made the nose job comment about Ibrahim’s physical appearance. The critic added that he is a big fan of Ibrahim’s father, Saif Ali Khan, and urged the young actor not to let his father down. However, we couldn’t independently verify the text exchange, and Tamur’s review is not visible on Instagram.
Netizens share mixed responses to Ibrahim Ali Khan’s alleged threat to Pakistani film critic
The post shared by Tamur quickly went viral online, and netizens rushed to share mixed responses to it. One netizen took a dig at Karan Johar, who launched Ibrahim and penned, ‘Kjo didn’t teach anything? Common man.” Another user felt Ibrahim’s rage over comments on his physical appearance was not wrong and wrote:
“Not supporting Ibrahim Ali Khan, but the reviewer should have just reviewed the debut, and not criticise him for his nose. He can’t help it. It’s the same critics like him who will rain down on him if he gets a nose job.”
