Deshaun Watson and Jilly Anais are officially engaged! The couple announced their exciting news on Instagram, sharing stunning snapshots from Watson’s beachside proposal.
“Mrs. Watson Loading…” their joint post caption read, as Anais showed off her dazzling diamond ring.
Watson, 29, and Anais, also 29, have been together since meeting in Los Angeles in July 2019. Anais is a singer, actress, and cookbook author who has stood by Watson’s side through his career highs and off-field controversies.
In 2021, Watson faced sexual misconduct allegations from around two dozen massage therapists, leading to his sidelining for the entire season with the Texans. In March 2022, two Texas grand juries declined to indict him on criminal charges, and he later settled most of the civil lawsuits.
Watson was traded to the Browns in the offseason, signing a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract. However, his time in Cleveland has been riddled with setbacks. He was suspended for the first 11 games of the 2022 season, and in 2024, a season-ending Achilles injury derailed his campaign. A re-rupture in January 2025 now puts his upcoming season in jeopardy.
Meanwhile, Anais has been thriving, recently walking the runway at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Show during Miami Swim Week 2024.
