Popular TV actress, Jennifer Winget was always a self-made woman. She dated her ex-husband, Karan Singh Grover for a couple of years before tying the knot with him in 2012. It was in 2014 when things fell flat between the duo, and they opted for separation. The former pair had met on the sets of their show, Dill Mill Gayye. Jennifer played the role of ‘Dr. Riddhima Gupta’, while Karan essayed ‘Dr. Armaan Malik’. Jennifer once pondered over her past decision to choose love over her career. It was a move that left her with many questions.

Jennifer once had a dream of being a housewife, even at a point when acting roles stopped coming to her. She felt content as her heart led her on the path but when everything in her personal life with Karan Singh Grover crashed, she was lost and confused. Jennifer, best known for her roles in Beyhadh, Kahin Toh Hoga, and Bepannaah shared in an interview with the Bollywood Bubble:
“There were so many noises around me. There were so many voices in my head. Let’s not go there. That decision of mine everybody questioned- including my parents. And I just didn’t listen to them. So, I anyways wanted to become a housewife, right? At that point if I wasn’t getting any work, I was okay with it.”
After Jennifer and Karan got divorced, she got linked with many of his co-stars. One of them was Tanuj Virwani with whom Jennifer worked in Code M. On the flip side, Karan Singh Grover married Bipasha Basu back on April 30, 2016.
Jennifer, once in an interview with the same publication shared about the challenges she had faced to become Karan’s second wife as he was earlier married and divorced from Shraddha Nigam. Her friends and loved ones had advised her not to go ahead with Karan. Jennifer revealed that even if God had told her not to marry the actor, she would not have paid attention. In her words:
“Everyone was like are you mad? What are you doing? Everyone said that, but at that point, even if God would have told me na that don’t do it, I had been like no, but I want to. That’s the thing, if I have to do something, I want to do something, I will do it and that’s what I wanted to do, and it felt right then.”

Speaking of her divorce with Karan, Jennifer shared that she and he were always best of friends. They were a house on fire, but she felt that their timing was not right and that maybe they were not ready for marriage. The pair is happy in their respective lives but Jennifer had noted:
“I think both of us were not ready. It’s not just him (Karan Singh Grover) or its not just me, both of us weren’t ready to take that step. We had been friends for so long. We were like a house on fire every time we met. But I think it was an unfortunate timing I guess.”
