Indian spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal and his former wife, Dhanashree Verma, have been hogging the limelight since 2024. The duo, who tied the knot in 2020, was married for four years, and it was on March 20, 2025, that Bandra Family Court in Mumbai granted them divorce. After being granted separation, the dentist-turned-choreographer actress released a song on infidelity titled, Dekha Ji Dekha Maine. It was on March 21, 2025 when Dhanashree appeared in front of the paps, who asked her about the final hearing of her divorce from Yuzi.

Dhanashree looked ravishing in a black balloon-like top with full sleeves and jeans of the same colour. She kept her tresses open and posed with a smile in front of the paps. One of the paparazzi asked her if she wanted to say something about her divorce being granted by the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai from Yuzvendra Chahal. Dhanashree blinked, had a blank face as if she expressed courage and strength battling through the tough times and nodded her head. She said:
“Gaana suno pehle.”
The paps then told her that the lyrics of her song, Dekha Ji Dekha Maine are good and that it was trending just like her. When a pap told her that they were made to wait for a long time, she said:
“Mei abhi tak mei kaam kar rahi thi. Mei abhi just free hui.”

Dhanashree released her song, Dekha Ji Dekha Maine on the day she was granted divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal. The music video showed how the lady was in a toxic relationship and showed the concept of cheating done by Ishwak Singh, who played Dhanashree’s on-screen husband. Now, as the actress made a solo appearance and made no comments on her separation, one user said, “Mam bhi trending pe chali hai. That line was epic.” Another one wrote, “Paise mil gaya na chalo roti pani hawa mein kami nahi aayegi.”

Dhanashree and Yuzvendra had arrived separately for the final hearing of their divorce, which Bandra Family Court granted on March 20, 2025. Reportedly, the spinner had arrived earlier, and after an hour, Dhanashree arrived. The cricketer wore a black t-shirt with a sarcastic quote, “Be your own sugar daddy”. Well, on the other hand, Dhanashree wore white denim jeans and a white T-shirt. Both of them, respectively, had covered their faces with masks. The Bombay High Court dismissed the cooling period of 6 months before finalising the divorce under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

Yuzi and Dhanashree jointly had filed for legal separation and as per the terms and conditions of the divorce, Yuzi would pay Rs. 4.75 crore alimony to Dhanashree. Nitin Gupta, the advocate of the cricketer, had stated to the media that said:
“The family court has accepted the joint petition filed by Chahal and Verma seeking divorce.”
