During a recent interview on “Way Up with Angela Yee,” Robinson addressed the widespread concern by once again stating that she chose to live in her car. Known as “Car Life,” this is a practice where people voluntarily forgo rent and live inside their vehicles. Robinson shut down the notion that she was homeless.
“My car is right now temporarily my room, my home,” she stated.
She also responded to Jermaine Dupri’s claim that she couldn’t have possibly been homeless if she had an assistant. The vocalist said she was caught off guard by the producer’s comments and revealed that she has only met Dupri once, though he spoke about her as if they had a longstanding relationship.
“I was shocked. Usually, artist-to-artist…we don’t attack each other like that. You would swear that he knows me directly. Like, where are you coming from? It was a shock,” she stated.
Just days ago, Robinson set the internet ablaze when she revealed in a vlog that she had been living in her car for over two years. She explained that after struggling to find housing in Los Angeles, she sought shelter in her car. Despite maintaining that she was voluntarily living life on four wheels, many reached out, offering Robinson a place to stay.
