Pawan Kalyan is a well-known actor and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Earlier on April 8, 2025, it was reported that Pawan’s youngest son was injured during a fire that broke out at his school in Singapore, and the eight-year-old has also suffered some injuries. While the politician had not shared any statement then, he has now come forward with an update about his son.
Pawan Kalyan shared an update on his son, Mark Shankar’s health
For a parent, their child being hurt is the most painful thing and Pawan Kalyan was ocean apart from his son when he got injured. However, the politician has now shared an update on the health of his youngest son, Mark Shankar Pavanovich. The update came on the evening of April 8, 2025, hours after the incident occurred. According to the reports, Pawan’s son injured his hands and legs during the fire that broke out at his school in Singapore. The reports also revealed that Mark had developed breathing complications as he inhaled smoke.
Pawan shared the update on his son Mark and revealed that he was being treated at the hospital. He added that upon hearing the tragic news, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi also contacted him and inquired about his son’s health. Pawan shared that talking to the PM gave him the courage to be strong during this stressful time.
Not only that, but he also revealed that the High Commissioner was instructed to provide assistance in Singapore, and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu called and spoke to him. Pawan shared that his son was gradually recovering, thanks to the good wishes and blessings of his well-wishers. He also took the moment to thank everyone for their prayers. He was quoted as saying:
“Our youngest son, Mark Shankar, was injured in a school fire in Singapore and is being treated in hospital. He is gradually recovering. Mark Shankar is gradually recovering due to these good-hearted wishes and blessings. I sincerely thank everyone.”

Earlier on April 8, 2025, Pawan Kalyan had shared that the incident took place during a summer camp his son was attending in Singapore. He added that a fire broke out, and several children were injured during the fire. He also revealed that his son had to undergo a bronchoscopy, and the smoke inhalation would have some long-term effects. He also told the media that he would be leaving for Singapore later at night, on April 8, 2025, to be with his son. He was quoted as saying:
“The incident occurred during a summer camp in Singapore, where a fire broke out, injuring several children. One child died (in the incident). My son has burns on his hands and thighs. He has to undergo a bronchoscopy. The smoke inhalation will likely have long-term effects.”
